This week in our quest we have been learning about how things start at a farm and eventually end up on our plates. We are looking at how crops and animals can be used for food and other things.

On Monday Doug came with three of his sheep. He showed us how he shears his sheep. He told us that  he sells the fleece. He shears his sheep twice a year.  He only keeps his sheep for a little while and then they get sold. They are then cut up and sent to the supermarket so we can buy chops and roasts to eat.
